Change with a Difference
So, here you are! Welcome to my election website...please feel free to browse and explore the positions I have taken on the issues, such as changes to the way we study, career development programmes and the improvement of our socials.
The site offers you various opportunities - these include downloading a copy of my agenda, asking me questions on my candidacy and staying updated on the progress of the campaign that was launched on 7 March. Certainly, the title chosen by me for this short introduction might come across as another election slogan. However, it is more than that...Now, I think that you cannot just fight for change in the Law Society for its own sake. Indeed, it has to be change for your sake, change that works for all of us.
Instead of making piecemeal promises, I will work with a comprehensive and detailed plan to turn our Law Society around and make sure that it can offer good opportunities to all of us and seriously compete with other Law Societies. The plan addresses the most important issues our Law Society has to confront in order to emerge prouder, stronger and better than in its past. Indeed, in some aspects, the Law Society has improved. Together with our new Committee, I'd like to contribute to keep the good things going, and improve what needs improving!
This will mean doing things differently in may areas. But in the end, only we, together, can build a new Law Society that will be successful and we all can be proud of. A vote for me is not just a vote for a mere change in faces. It will be a vote for a new approach and for finally exploring those new horizons that are waiting for our Law Society. After all: "The best Law Society is not behind us, the best Law Society is yet to come."
